The search is over for the deaf and mute 65-year old Balwant Singh who went missing after being discharged from a hospital in Serdang, Selangor, two days ago. He was found this morning at a restaurant in The Mines area about 10km from the hospital.

“We received a call from a kind lady at 8.05am. She found him at a restaurant and alerted us. He was looking worried when found,” his niece Ervin told Asia Samachar.

Adriena Das, who found Balwant, had also posted a message at the Asia Samachar website this morning, It read: “I have found him at Seetharam Curry House opposite Serdang KTM Station and called his family.” [See earlier story here].

Apparently, after being discharged two days ago, Balwant had boarded a bus headed towards The Mines area.

“We have offered her some cash but she refused and said that he’s like my father. A big Thank You to the wonderful lady and also a big thank you to Seetharam Restaurant who provided him blanket yesterday to sleep and provided food. He started crying when he saw us,” wrote Balwant’s niece Amy Kahlon in a Facebook posting today.

She had also included the Asia Samachar public service announcement poster on her Facebook page.
