The Ipoh Seminar is a fantastic opportunity for Sikhs in Ipoh and Perak as a whole to learn the important facets of Guru Granth Sahibji – primarily the valuable relationship that we can establish with Guru Sahib once it dawns upon us that there is only one guide and one source of love for us all and that is Guru Granth Sahibji.
While this seminar is most timely and important in bringing the message that only Guru Granth Sahibji is supreme, a more important and urgent step is to establish a concerted effort – in Ipoh and if possible the state of Perak – to continue to take to the Sikh masses the important message that their loyalty, faith, trust and love should only be for Guru Granth Sahibji.

The challenges we are facing today is the slow erosion of absolute faith in the Gurbani. When I say Gurbani I mean Guru Granth Sahibji. There is no Gurbani without Guru Granth Sahibji.
The proliferation of parchaar that focuses little on the true vicaar of Gurbani must be curtailed effectively. The Sikh sangget has to understand that their only allegiance is to Gurbani.
Any attempt therefore by any quarter to bring dubious, and sometimes clearly anti-Gurbani, interpretation and stories by introducing non-Gurbani texts must be rejected.
In this respect, I hope members of the management committees of the all Gurdwara Sahib in Ipoh and outside the city will try their best to come for the seminar.
I believe the seminar, which will feature prominent and distinguished speakers, will provide an avenue for them to ask questions and get proper answers.
Further to that, it is my hope that those who attend the seminar will be able to form good network that will come handy in the move to establish Gurmat parchaar in Ipoh as well as Perak.
