Two siblings killed in early morning car accident

Two siblings, on their way to visit their father who was to undergo a surgery at an Ipoh hospital, died in a car accident early this morning, just as they reached the state capital of Perak.

Simrendeep Kaur, 25, and Gurvinder Singh, 22, were travelling together in a car when the accident occurred at Simpang Pulai, Ipoh.

Media reports said two cars and a trailer were involved in the accident and that the fire brigade received a call at 2.51am.

Their father, Jasbant Singh, was admitted at the Ipoh General Hospital for a scheduled surgery, according to family friends.

The cremation of the siblings will take place at Buntong, Ipoh, at 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
