AWAITING: Indian subcontinent gained Independence in 1947 from the colonial rule, leading to the annihilation of Nanak’s appreciators from the Indus basin. Yet, in the hall of the abandoned Arambagh Gurdwara in Karachi (Pakistan), in a framed canvas picture, Guru Nanak sits awaiting!

Photographed in February 2017, during the research for the book “THE QUEST CONTINUES: LOST HERITAGE The Sikh Legacy in Pakistan”.
