Gurdwaras and Sikh organisations in Malaysia which intend to tap Federal government funding are invited to attend a workshop to understand the latest guidelines.
The Coalition of Malaysian Sikh Organisations (CMSO) is oganising a Project Funding Workshop in Petaling Jaya on 19 March 2016 (9am-1pm).
The workshop is organised in collaboration with the Special Unit Program for Socioeconomic Development of Indian Community (SEDIC), a unit in the Prime Minister’s Department.
“Officers involved with SEDIC and other experts will discuss the latest guidelines that are being announced next week, the kind of projects that will get funding, target groups, the new application procedure, how to complete the forms, etc,” said CMSO secretary general Autar Singh in a statement.
The half-day workshop is a follow-up to the Project Funding Symposium, also organised by CMSO and SEDIC, on 30 Jan 2016 attended by some 20 gurdwara and Sikh organisation representatives.
“Please consider this as your official invitation as we will not be sending invitations through the post,” said Autar in the statement shared via the social media.
The Sikh organisations and gurdwaras have been invited to send at least two representatives each to the workshop.
