Inder Singh from the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), a member of the Malaysian ruling political coalition, has been bestowed a datukship from Negeri Sembilan.
Also receiving a Negeri Sembilan state award, carrying the Datuk title, was medical specialist Dr Satber Kaur.
Inder, 48, is PPP supreme council member and also treasurer at the Selangor state level.
He is also Gurdwara Sahib Puchong management committee deputy president.
Aside from political activities, the book publisher has been active in community affairs. He was one of the founding members of the naujawan satsang (Sikh youth gathering) in Puchong in the late 1980s.
