It’s going to be a whole day of fun and rumble as teams battle it out for yet another Vaisakhi tournament in Kuala Lumpur today.
Teams nationwide are taking part in the Selangor Sikh Union (SSU) Kelab Aman Vaisakhi Cup 2017 taking place at the organisation’s massive field which is within the eye sight of the Petronas Twin Towers.
“These games have been going on for many, many years,” SSU president Gagandeep Singh tells Asia Samachar. He himself will don the Hangover team jersey for hockey.
The tournament is featuring field football (open category), futsal (under 16), hockey and netball.
The mood is jovial. Some teams seem more prepared for their respective challenge.
The game is open to SSU club members and Sikhs.
