Gagjit Singh, one of the first PWD Class F Sikh Sikh contractors in Malaysia, passed away on Aug 3. He was 71. Gagjit, also known as Jegir Singh, was involved in the building of four gurdwaras – Pudu, Tatt Khalsa, Port Klang and Hulu Yam Bharu, according to a family member. He had also worked closely with the Selangor state government on various projects and also charitable initiatives. He was also a Sikh Registrar of Marriages for the region of Hulu Selangor for numerous years.
