Some B2B networking, not business-to-business but the bhai-to-bhai kind, took place at a recent international accountants conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

One Sikh lady and two men were spotted busy exchanging notes at the International Accountants Conference 2014 organised by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Bursa Malaysia Derivatives SVP for Finance & Corporate Management Sarjit Kaur, Taylor’s University Senior Lecturer Dr Jespal Singh and Open University Malaysia (OUM) Senior Lecturer Baldev Singh were delegates at the two-day conference that ended on Nov 5, along with some 2,600 others.

Baldev is also OUM programme coordinator for the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree programme. A former senior banker with Standard Chartered Bank and Kuwait Finance House, he was also a former Jathedar of Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (SNSM), a Malaysian-based Sikh youth organisation.
