One time radio jockey Parveet Singh Gandoak joins law firm Skadden as a Singapore-based counsel in its corporate group.

Gandoak regularly represents private equity sponsors and multinational corporations in a range of corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, minority and control investments, secondary transactions and capital market offerings, the company said in a statement.

He also advises clients on investments in India, China and Southeast Asia, and has significant experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, it added.

Gandoak, who previously practiced in New York and Hong Kong, is admitted to practice as an attorney in New York, an advocate in India and a solicitor in Hong Kong. He speaks Hindi and Punjabi.

Gandoak, who had a two-year stint as a radio jockey at Radio Mirchi, was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton since January 2011 and an Corporate & Securities Associate at Dechert LLP between 2006 to 2010.
