Sikh Youth Convention: Pulapol, SNSM forum to create leaders who serve


| Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | 15 Mar 2017 | Asia Samachar |What are some of the challenges faced by Sikh youth in Malaysia? What are the opportunities that are out there for the youth? How can they reach creatively and make the best of those opportunities?

These are some of the issues that will be deliberated at the maiden Sikh Youth Convention 2017 organised jointly by Gurdwara Sahib Pulapol and Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (SNSM) will take place over two days in April in Kuala Lumpur.

Themed ‘Creating Tomorrow’s Leaders to Serve the Community’, the two-day convention is targeted to Sikh youth aged 16-30.

SNSM Jathedar Dr Jasbir Singh is slated to speak on his first 100 days in office at SNSM, probably the most active Sikh youth body in Asia outside India.

Teaching specialist Dr Gurcharan Singh will speak on topic ‘Leadership: Are We Different’.

Other speakers Hargobind Singh (Are We Sikhs?), Ishvinder Singh (There Is Opportunity For You), Rashvinpal Singh (Social Entrepreneurship), Jaspreet Kaur (Let’s Talk, Let’s Connect), Reshminder Kaur (Creative Thinking) and Parmeet Kaur (Career – Finding Purpose).

Asia Samachar is a media partner of the event on April 1-2 at Pusat Latihan Polis (Pulapol) at Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, Kuala Lumpur.
