Naranjan Singh, a second generation hockey umpire, passed away at the age of 60. Naranjan was a Grade 1 national hockey umpire. His father Babu Amar Singh, was also a hockey umpire.
Babu Amar was formerly with the Malayan Railways and lived in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
“They used to go umpiring together,” Naranjan’s sister tells Asia Samachar.
Narajan was a bachelor.
