The Sikhs in Putra Heights, a township close to bigger cities like Puchong, Subang and Shah Alam, run a gurdwara in a two-storey house. They, too, were very much plugged in with the 550th celebration of Guru Nanak’s birthday.

The gurdwara also attracts Sikhs from neighbouring areas like Saujana Putra, USJ and Alam Megah.

Gurdwara Sahib Putra Height (GSPH) held an akhand path from Nov 15-17, 2019. Aside from the continuous reading of the Guru Granth Sahib, they also had kirtan sessions, nissan sahib selami (raising of the Khalsa flag) and distribution of langgar to the needy.

“We thank all the Sanggat members who joined the sewa,” GSPH committee president Jasbinder Singh said in a note emailed to Asia Samachar. The committee also includes Jaspal Singh, Ranjit Singh, Jaspal Kaur (secretary) and Harjit Kaur.
