
The weekend Punjabi school in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, will have a new head for 2015.
The Punjabi Education Centre (PEC) Petaling Jaya has appointed retired government secondary school principal Satwant Kaur as its new head teacher. She takes over from Gurtej Kaur.
The Petaling Jaya centre, based at Gurdwara Sahib Petaling Jaya, had 19 teachers and 215 students for 2014.
The 47 PECs nationwide run weekend Punjabi school under the care of Punjabi Education Trust Malaysia (PETM), the education wing of Khalsa Diwan Malaysia. At at end of last year, there were 2,500 students and about 500 teachers and administrators.
