From the time we were little, on every visit to the Golden Temple, Mataji would remark on what a great soul Bhagat Puran Singh was as she made a contribution at the Pingalwara donation box just outside the parkarma.
In those years, there was so little literature about him and his life’s mission… we grew up with just snippets of information and stories that were gathered through word of mouth and pamphlets from around the donation box.
Today it is a different world, and we know so much more of this man who was a rare breed of humanists and environmentalists.
If you watch any movie this year, let it be Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe. And if you read any book, let it be Garland Around My Neck.
Walking this earth with people like you, Bhagat Ji, gives me hope, humbles me, and shows me what Ek really means. The boundlessness of your compassion… so humbling.
