The champions for badminton and futsal at Malaysia’s Holla Mahala Games 2015 have been settled, with soccer, netball and athletics to be settled this weekend.
Subang emerged as the futsal champions after beating Pulapol in the finals for girls under 21. Bukit Beruntung came out third with Sentul in the fourth place.
In futsal boys under 12, Klang came out champs after beating High Street in the finals. Pulapol took the third spot with Rawang in the fourth.
Holla Mahala, the Sikh martial festival which is celebrated in a set of games in Malaysia. Organised by the Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (SNSM), the annual games this year enters its 15th edition.
In badminton, Tatt Khalsa emerged champions for Boys U-21 after beating Pulapol in the finals. For the third placing, High Street had defeated Petaling Jaya.
For Girls U-21 individual, Ashvinderjeet Kaur from Seremban took the top spot after beating Harsimran Kaur from High Street. Parveen Bhati ( Tatt Khalsa) beat Dashwinder Kaur (Tatt Khalsa) for the third placement.
In Girls U-21 Doubles, the Ashvinderjeet Kaur/Nazneen Kaur pair from Seremban beat Parveen Kaur/Aartipreet Kaur from Tatt Khalsa in the finals. Harsimran Kaur/Baljit Kaur (High Street) came out third after beating Dashwinder Kaur/Gurshreen Kaur (Tatt Khalsa).
GIRLS U-16 SINGLES: 1. Jasleen Kaur (Pulapol) 2.Kirandeep Kaur (Pulapol) 3. Gursimran Kaur (Pulapol) 4. Preetinder Kaur (High Street).
GIRLS U-16 DOUBLES: 1. Gursimran/Jasleen (Pulapol) 2. Karishma/Arreshajit (High Street) 3. Kirandeep/Jazulynn (Banting) 4. Sukhindeep/Preeidev (High Street).
MIXED DOUBLES: 1. Dalbir Singh/Jasleen Kaur (Pulapol) 2. Prabhdeep Singh / Ashvinderjeet Kaur (Seremban) 3. Ishaan Singh / Joohijit Kaur (Petaling Jaya) 4. Galvinraj Singh / Dashvinder Kaur (Tatt Khalsa).
Athletics (under 12, 16 and 21) and telematches for children will be held tomorrow (Mar 21) at Kompleks Sukan Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Kuala Lumpur. There will also be a kabaddi exhibition match on that day.
Most of the other games – soccer, netball, hockey, tug of war, carom, scrabble, chess, checkers and arm wrestling — will be held at Club Aman in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Mar 22).
