SINGAPORE’S first female Formula 4 driver Kareen Kaur has been featured in Vogue Singapore, wearing Diesel pants and shoes from a Paris-based fashion house, as she spoke about her ambition to reach motorsport’s biggest stage.

The CHIJ Secondary student told the magazine that her curiosity about racing had developed into a passion, with the goal of competing at the highest level.

Kareen said racing internationally showed her the commitment required off-track, including gym sessions, recovery, simulator training and data analysis.

“When I am in a race kart or in a Formula car, I feel calm behind all the loud roaring. It is a place I feel I belong to and want to be at,” she told the magazine.

She hoped her journey would show others that they did not need to wait for permission or representation to pursue an unconventional path.

Kareen is focused on building her Formula racing portfolio and testing herself against stronger rivals, with the aim of joining the all-female F1 Academy.

“I hope to make a name for Singapore on the international stage in the world of motorsports as a female,” she said.
