A senior minister and seven high commissioners will join the Remembrance Day Memorial Service at Kranji War Memorial on Sunday (Feb 8).

The event is hosted by Pardesi Khalsa Dharmak Diwan (PKDD) as part of its centenary celebration which culminates in August 2026.

The service honours the lives and sacrifices of 3,318 fallen soldiers bearing the name “Singh”, drawn from communities across the undivided Punjab, who served and fell during times of war. Their contribution forms an enduring chapter in both Sikh and global history.

This commemorative event brings together community members and dignitaries in a shared spirit of oneness, remembrance, and solemn reflection. As part of its centenary observances and continued commitment to remembrance and service, the PKDD has also extended an invitation to the wider Sikh Sanggat to participate in the collective act of commemoration at the Kranji War Memorial.

The gathering provides an opportunity for quiet reflection, honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and acknowledging a shared responsibility to remember history with humility, dignity, and respect across generations, PKDD said in a statement emailed to Asia Samachar.

Senior Minister of State Mr Murali Pillai is the guest of honour, alongside seven High Commissioners to Singapore from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and Malaysia.

To facilitate attendance, PKDD will arrange buses from selected Gurdwaras to the Kranji War Memorial.
