Sikh top cop hard at work in Malaysia

There was no way of avoiding Malaysian commercial crime buster Amar Singh in the last few weeks as the nation upped the ante in the investigations into Malaysia’s state-owned investment fund 1MDB.

It is a super high profile case at it involves former Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.

Commissioner Amar, the Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director, was the point person as the police made a number of raids last month.

At on the spot press conferences, he had to detail the number of bags and the amount of cash that was carted away – boxes and boxes of them.

ToonistBains, the resident cartoonist at Asia Samachar, produces a caricature of the Sikh top cop. Amar is the highest ranking Sikh officer in the Malaysian police force today, the highest ever scaled by a person of an Indian ethnicity.

Yesterday, Amar was again in the news when some newspapers splashed photos of him shaking hands with Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin who had called on the police top brass at Bukit Aman.

  1. Turban Crown Commissioner DS Amar Singh, taking Pride to honour his duties at the helm of the critical moments faced by Malaysian.

On one side the nation is relieved from the iron hands that would have left Malaysia hopeless for centuries to come; lost in her pride with buried glories painted as among the countries lost with full of corruption, favouritism, dogmatism and without freedom of speech. On the other side with the Government with so much in its plate in cleaning and clearing the horrifying backyard left behind by past Government.

Today Malaysians a overjoyous with so much relieve and we are at peace vouching to work together with the present PH government in making this country glorious again.

We have people in position from various ethnicities. This itself is bringing the lost confidence back to the Rakyat.

We are extremely proud of Dato Sri Commissioner Amar Singh and YB Gobind Singh Deo. Two are more than enough to take on the battle together with other courageous and learned Ministers.

May God Bless you both and give you the strength and keep you sheltered.
