India maintained their perfect run at the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 with a dominant 7-0 win over Japan in their third Elite Pool match on Tuesday.

The victory secured India a place in the quarter-finals and extended an impressive start that began with a 4-1 win over Korea and an 11-1 rout of Malaysia.

India took control from the opening stages, combining sharp movement with sustained attacking pressure as Japan struggled to contain them.

The seven-goal haul took India’s tournament tally to 22 goals from three matches, while their defence recorded its first clean sheet of the competition.

Purnima Yadav was named Player of the Match for her performance in the commanding victory.
