The Bhai Mardhana Sangeet Festival 2015 is now only days away. At one point, the organisers wondered if it would ever make headway. Well, it has, It is now a major talking point among the aspiring youth kirtan jathas (groups), locally and abroad.

Event: Bhai Mardana Sangeet Festival 2015

Dates: 22 & 23 Aug 2015 (Sat & Sun)

Place: Gurdwara Sahib Ulu Kelang, Ampang, Selangor.

What amazes us is that we have actually had three very successful events for three years running. The vast pool of talent, the dedication to being the best they possibly can and the love for Gurbani Sangeet from among the jatha, has really taken everyone by surprise. On that note, let me point out that the organisers have endured many challenges in organizing this event. Challenges that, with the Guru’s grace, only made the team more focused and determined to make it a success.

The organising team is a small pool of dedicated young sewadars (term used to describe volunteers), whose only objective has been to promote the agenda of creating a grand platform for our local and regional youth to showcase their blessed ability to sing the Guru’s praises. And their dedication and perseverance to this selfless sewa is definitely worthy of mention.

And now that the event being just a few days away, let us all make our weekend plans of the 22nd and 23rd of August to be at this wonderful event. Lets us show our support not only to the performing jathas, but also to the organizing team including the Gurdwa Sahib Ampang committee, that their efforts is very much appreciated.

“Kaaljug Meh Kirtan Pardhana, Gurmukh Japiye Laiye Dhiyaanaa.”
