Some 120 youth took part in the three-day Sikh camp in Taiping, Perak, that ended today.
Organised by the Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia (SNSM) Perak Branch, the mini samelan which began on Saturday (10 Sept 2016) attracted the largest yet gathering in the last few years.
“We’ve been holding the mini-samelan annually at Taiping. This time around, we had almost double the usual number of participants,” SNSM Perak Jathedar Jaswant Singh told Asia Samachar. “The camp went on fine.”
Most of the participants were from Taiping, Ipoh and Penang. Taiping is about 70kms from Ipoh, the state capital of Perak.
