Johor-born karting sensation Sahill Singh has been crowned the Junior Category champion of the Malaysian Karting Championship (MKC) 2026, completing an impressive season with three victories and five podium finishes across six rounds.
A third-place finish in the final round at Pinnacle Kart, Subang, was enough for the 13-year-old racer to secure the championship, fulfilling one of his key ambitions for the year.
The triumph marks another milestone in Sahill’s promising motorsport career, following his runner-up finish in the MKC Junior Category in 2025, his first season competing against older and more experienced drivers.
The victory also propels Sahill to the top of Malaysia’s junior karting rankings, according to the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
In 2024, Sahill enjoyed a breakthrough season when he captured both the Malaysian Karting Championship and KRD Championship titles in the Cadet Category.
His journey into competitive karting began in 2022, progressing from recreational blaster karts to organised circuit racing. He subsequently competed in the Rotax, IAME Asia and KRD Championship Series.
In a January 2026 interview with Asia Samachar, Sahill had set his sights firmly on winning the MKC Junior title.
“I’m eyeing the Junior title for the Malaysian Karting Championship in 2026,” he said then, while also expressing hopes of securing wins and podium finishes in the IAME Asian series.
Following his championship victory, Sahill’s supporters expressed gratitude to Stratos Motorsports, Motor and Mind, family members, friends and everyone who backed him throughout the season.
With another championship secured, the young racer continues pursuing his longer-term dream of reaching Formula 1.
