Dr Jaswant Singh, who has served over eight years as a lecturer at the Sikh Centre Singapore, delivered his final lecture entitled ‘Transmigration of the Soul’ to a full house, including those who have been attending his regular classes.

As a Sikh Lecturer of the centre, he conducted lectures and has guided hundreds of Sikhs in Gurbani.

During his time as lecturer, he had undertaken lecture sessions at other gurdwaras in Singapore and also abroad, and also produced written works such as the book ‘Sikh Way of Life’.

One of his key contributions has been to design teaching material for various Sikhi topics and Sikh personalities for courses taught over three years for those interested to learn more about Gurbani and Sikhi.

“Dr Jaswant has shared the gems of SGGS Ji. Hundreds of Sikhs here have benefitted from his lectures and we offer our deepest thanks to him for serving the mission of the Sikh Centre,” said one centre official at the end of the lecture on Nov 29 2015.

The centre is a unit under the Central Sikh Gurdwara Board (CSGB) which manages the Central Sikh Gurdwara and Gurdwara Sahib Silat Road.

Dr Jaswant, who leaves to undertake other pursuits in India, plans to prepare a detailed paper by early next year.
