Two sisters will represent Malaysia for the global finals for two separate beauty pageants.
Ranmeet Kaur Jassal, a 24-year medical graduate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka, India, will represent Malaysia at the Miss Grand International pageant in Las Vegas, US from Oct 6-25.
Her sister, dentistry student Kiran Kaur Jassal, was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2106 at the pageant finals in Kuala Lumpur in January.
It’s a family thing for Ranmeet and Kiran. Their mum, lawyer Ranjit Kaur, took home the classic category title at Mrs Malaysia World 2015 pageant.
Last month, Ranmeet was just a whisker away from grabbing her first beauty pageant title when she emerged as the first runner-up at Miss Malaysia World 2016 competition.
