After defeating world champions Germany, India was not create a winning streak when they went down 1-3 to Great Britain in their second men’s hockey match at the FIH Pro League today.
On Saturday, Harmanpreet Singh and Co defeated world champions Germany, although not at their full strength, 3-0 with a clinical display.
Today, though, they defeat to Great Britain was a lesson that the Indian side is still lacking the consistency, reported the Indian Express.
With three matches left in their Pro League season, head coach Craig Fulton would’ve been looking fine-tune the preparations and finalise his squad for the Olympic Games.
Under Harendra Singh’s stint as head coach, Indian women’s hockey team are in transition after missing out on qualification for Paris Olympics. They are yet to win a match in their European tour, and were soundly beaten by Germany on Saturday, despite a stellar performance by Savita Punia in goal, who helped keep the score decent at 1-3, the report added.
