Women futsal enthusiasts can still take part in an annual futsal competition to be held in Subang, Selangor, on Saturday (Sept 12).
The Dato’ Daljit Singh Dalliwal Challenge Trophy organised by the Malaysian Punjabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MPCCI) is open to players 16-years and above of any race. Entry is free.
The competition, to be held at the Sports Planet Subang, has a cash RM800 for the first prize, RM400 for the second and RM200 for the third. The men futsal slots are full.
The trophy is named after MPCCI president Dalit Singh who served a one-term senatorship of the Malaysian upper house of the Parliament between 2008-2011 as a nominee of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC).
In March, Subang beat Pulapol to emerg as champions of the under-21 ladies futsal at the Holla Mahala Games 2015 organised by the Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia. SEE STORY HERE.
