Veteran hotelier Saminder Kaur has been appointed as sales head at the Settlement Hotel Melaka.

Sam, as she’s known in the industry, moves to the boutique hotel from The Avillion Village Resort, Port Dickson where she was the sales director.

Described as an iconic sales figure in the hospitality industry, Saminder has more than 37 years of experience in sales, marketing and public relations, according to a statement issued by the hotel.

She has held senior positions at 5-star hotels in Malaysia such as The Melia, Kuala Lumpur, The Regency, Gouman and The Avillion Village Resort.

One of her role would be to strategise sales campaigns and to drive revenue both in the overall room and catering sales as well as F&B within the local market sphere and also internationally, the statement added.

Settlement Hotel Melaka, which has 49 guestrooms, suites and private villas, is
located along the colorful Jalan Ujong Pasir.
